Chris Torbit
Principal

As Principal of Clarus Communications, Chris shares responsibility for telecom consulting, strategic direction and leadership of the company.  Prior to Clarus Communications, Chris began his career in 1993 at Consolidated Communications. During his 11 years with the company, he held a series of leadership and telecom consulting roles and won numerous sales and marketing accolades with McLeodUSA.

Chris holds a BA degree in financial management from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an MBA from Southern Illinois University and double masters in telecom consulting from Webster University.

Chris, his wife and their 3 children live in the St. Charles area.  He enjoys spending time with his family and working in the community. 

Greg Stiff
Principal

As Principal of Clarus Communications, Greg shares responsibility for telecom consulting, strategic direction and leadership of the company.  Prior to Clarus Communications, Greg began his career with Consolidated Communications, Inc. as a Regional Account Executive. He then was recruited to AT&T, where held a series of leadership and telecom consulting across the country, and won several National Sales Awards for his leadership in Fortune 50 accounts.  Greg's career with AT&T culminated as the Global Sales Director in Illinois. Greg then served as the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Convergence Communications, in St. Louis, MO., and in 2007 became President of Kb Data. 

Greg is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Commerce, Urbana with a degree in Marketing, and a focus in Finance.  Greg, his wife, and their 2 children live in the St. Charles area, and are highly involved in various mission projects, and their community.  Greg has a passion and a vision for building a bridge between telecom consulting business world and the missionary field, and is highly motivated to create new ways to help those in need.

Jim Turley
Principal – Utility Management

As the Principal of Clarus Communications Energy Management Services, Jim has the responsibility for the strategic direction and leadership of the Utility Management Division. He assists organizations in reducing and managing their utility and energy expenses.

Prior to joining Clarus Communications, Jim was an executive with a large engineering and construction firm based in the Midwest. As Director of Strategic Planning, his primary responsibilities were to develop and oversee implementation of the annual strategic business plan for the Corporation and its various subsidiaries.

Jim holds a BA degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA in Finance, with honors from Southern Illinois University.

Jennifer Kennedy
Marketing Director

Jennifer Kennedy brings ten years of retail, advertising and marketing communications experience to her role as marketing director. She leads the company's advertising and public relations efforts.  Jennifer previously was a writer with Geile-Leon Marketing Communications. She holds a BA degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Webster University.

Craig Sterl
Lead Technical Consultant

With over 15 years voice, data and telecom consulting experience, Craig leads the technical support organization of Clarus Communications. After earning a B.S. degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University, Craig held various management and technical roles in Southern Illinois University. Craig owned and operated his own successful ISP and telecom consulting business in Carbondale, Illinois for 5 years.  Then, after selling it, he moved to St. Louis to marry his wife and become a Lead Engineer for Kb Data in 2005.   Craig is a MicrosoftCertified Network Product Specialist and is certified in many specific technologies, including 3Com VOIP Telephony, and Allworx VOIP solutions.  Craig and his wife have a passion for International Ministry and travel.

Judy Bindbeutel
Accounting Director

Judy heads up the company's accounting department; overseeing financial management, accounting and all fiscal responsibilities. Prior to joining Clarus Communications, she held various positions within the Enterprise Rent-A-Car organization. Judy holds a BS in business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
